- Be familiar with the many benefits ASCE offers members. From publication discounts to continuing education, ASCE is the number one publisher and leading source of technical and professional information in the civil engineering field. Download your ASCE Member Benefits brochure.
- Recommend ASCE to your colleagues with a smile! Show your enthusiasm and tell firsthand accounts of how your ASCE membership has been a great investment in your career. Prospective members will be much more likely to join ASCE if you tell your story with excitement.
- Join online: www.asce.org/join
- Deliver New Member applications and ASCE Brochures to your recruits.
- Identify the best candidates for ASCE membership. The key to successful recruitment is asking the right people to join. Your co-workers (even your bosses and top managers!), young professionals and new employees in your organization are all great prospects and will appreciate that you have gone out of your way to help them in their careers.
- Follow up with prospective member and see if they've mailed in their applications or joined online. Remind your recruits that ASCE sponsors conferences and workshops, and publishes more than 1,700 technical publications, including journals, standards, manuals of practice and other career-building resources.
- Send an e-mail or handwritten note thanking them for considering ASCE membership and expressing appreciation for their support.
